A second Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) executive pleaded guilty yesterday for her part in misleading the Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) over the issuance of freebies to gamblers who renewed their annual entry levies.

This is less than a month after her former superior, Lim Tze Chean, threw in the towel.

Sim Bee Ling, also known as Chernie, a director of VIP Services, had instructed Thien Lai Foo, a team leader, to erase all records from RWS's Maxim briefing book in relation to the issuing of free Universal Studios Singapore (USS) tickets for annual levy renewals.

She then made those records available to Lim, former vice-president of VIP Services, according to the statement of facts agreed between the prosecution and defence.

Sim, 31, who originally faced three counts of forgery and claimed trial, pleaded guilty to one amended charge of violating the Casino Control Act (CCA) and is scheduled to be sentenced tomorrow.
