Driver rams head on into traffic light at Tampines in wee hours

A car smashed into a traffic crossing signal in Tampines early Saturday morning.

Stomp contributor Julius had been alerted to the crash by the noise and went to investigate.

"It was 4.40am, and there was a loud crash downstairs... So I went downstairs to check... Right in front of me was a car that had run into a traffic signal."

"The traffic signal had been knocked down... The car suffered major damage on its right side... The driver was taken to the hospital."
