3-year-old toddler dies in bus accident at cemetery

She was at the cemetery to say her goodbyes to her sister’s father-in-law when a second tragedy struck the grieving family on Sunday.

Her three-year-old son was run over by a bus, just metres away from the man’s grave at Lim Chu Kang Cemetery.

The toddler died on the spot.

“The coffin was already being lowered into the ground when we all heard a loud sound. Everyone turned around, and that was when we saw him under the left front wheel of the bus,” a relative said.

The private bus was hired by the family to carry relatives and friends to and from the funeral on Sunday.
