At 9am on Friday, Shameera Basha would have celebrated the completion of her final O-level paper, Biology.

In August, the Tanjong Katong Girls' student had tweeted: "Just can't wait for Os to end, I want to watch good movies all day and snuggle in bed."

Tragically, her seat at the examination venue was empty.

On Thursday, she was found with two fatal stab wounds in a bedroom at her home in Tampines.

The family's Indonesian domestic helper, Tuti Aeliyah, 28, who was also in the room, was arrested. She was charged with murder yesterday.

Shameera, who was said to be a high achiever with a heart, had a bright future ahead of her. But all her grieving parents can do now is ponder what it could have been.
