Rihanna to play at Singapore Grand Prix

Pop superstar Rihanna will perform at the 2013 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix this September.

Her performance on the Padang Stage on Sunday, Sept 22, will be on the same day as the night race, which caps a week of events around the Marina Bay circuit.

Rihanna, 25, last performed in Singapore in 2008 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Forbes magazine has named Rihanna as the world’s No 1 social media star with 63 million fans on Facebook, over 27 million followers on twitter and more than 2.9 billion views on YouTube and Vevo.

The other acts at this year’s Singapore Grand Prix include popular American band The Killers, who will perform on Saturday, Sept 21.
