Registration opens for 3 more MOE kindergartens

Registration for places at three more Ministry of Education (MOE) pilot kindergartens started Monday at Blangah Rise, Farrer Park and Tampines.

However with applications only closing on Friday, response was quiet.

Of the five MOE kindergartens that have been announced, the kindergarten at Tampines is the only one sited at a void deck.

MP for Tampines GRC Baey Yam Keng said he is not surprised that response has been subdued so far, as many residents prefer sending their children to a childcare centre – the MOE kindergarten only offers four-hour sessions.

Interested parents have until Friday to register their children for MOE kindergartens in Tampines, Blangah Rise and Farrer Park.
