There has been an upheaval in the food scene in laid-back Changi Village - new restaurants have moved in and old ones have played musical chairs.
Crowds are flocking back to the area since Changi Village Hawker Centre reopened earlier this year.
A new crop of eateries has also opened at Block 1 and Block 4 (see map), a stone's throw away from the hawker centre.
SundayLife! found five eateries that opened in the last six months.
They are:
- Ipoh Treats, a casual restaurant specialising in Ipoh fare;
- Crepes & Puffs, a bakery offering fruit crepes, cakes and durian puffs;
- Makan@Melaka, an eatery offering traditional Malay dishes such as mee rebus, nasi lemak and home-made chendol;
- Ha Ha Ha Thai Seafood; and
- Beccarino, a cafe and cake shop known for its muffins, cookies and curry puffs, which relocated from Tanjong Pagar.
