Residents of two block of flats will enjoy a 50 per cent rebate on their Service and Conservancy Charges (S&CC) for May 2013, as their blocks were the cleanest among the assessed HDB blocks in Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC for the first quarter of this year.
The two winning blocks are Block 404 Sin Ming Avenue and Block 83 Lorong 2 Toa Payoh. Altogether, 104 households will receive the rebate.
The Town Council cleaners assigned to those blocks will also receive a special monetary award.
The results were based on inspections carried out by the HDB as part of its audit for the Town Council Management Report (TCMR).
The "Cleanest Block Competition", organised by the Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council (BTPTC), aims to encourage residents to be more involved in the cleanliness of their surroundings.
