Up to five numbers can be programmed for emergency cases and they are called in succession with a one touch access button.

2. Stick-N-Find

If you are in the habit of misplacing things, you will find Stick-N-Find handy. The small sticker uses a new radio technology known as Bluetooth Low Energy, to communicate with your smartphone. You can stick it on anything (keys, luggage, pets) and if it's within a 30.5m range of your phone, it will show up on the Stick-N-Find apps radar.

3. Nokia 105

Looking for a really cheap phone? Well, the new Nokia 105 is retailing at 15 euro (S$24), the lowest priced ever device with a colour screen. Some of the more interactive apps include a music handler, a remote phone ringer and a Google Maps app.

6. NEC dual screen phone

NEC has come up with a different way to answer consumer demands for bigger screens on smartphones. Instead of installing a single, larger display, which will make the phone bigger, the company has fitted a second screen to its Medias W mobile phone that folds out when needed, to double the display area. The combined screen diagonal comes up to 5.6-inches. The screen may be useful for getting a bigger view of things.

7. Sony Xperia Z

Gadgets don't play well with water. But the new Sony Xperia Z tablet begs to differ. The tablet, billed as dust and water resistant, is 6.9mm thin and weighs 495g. It has a 10.1-inch high-definition screen and will go on sale soon. The tablet aims to challenge Apple, which has dominated the high-end tablet market, although smaller and cheaper Android-based tablets have also won market share.
