And that's great news for Singapore where interest in ice skating is heating up.
The skaters are going through their final preparations ahead of the inaugural ISU (International Skating Union) World Development Trophy.
Spectators can expect the action to be fast and furious, with plenty of fancy footwork... as 40 youth skaters from Singapore and seven other countries clock speeds of 60 kilometres or more at the April 13 competition.
Sonja Chong, President of Singapore Ice Skating Association, said: "Singapore is a young country in ice skating particularly in short track speed skating, so there's a need for a development level competition so that our kids have more exposure to competitions where the playing field is a little bit more even."
