The Miss Universe National Costume Show kicked off in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday night U.S. time.

Almost all of the world's 89 most gorgeous women — Singapore's Lynn Tann included — showed off their costumes.

Tan appeared elegantly on stage in a fully white evening gown with a white translucent shawl decorated with orchids, which is Singapore's national flower, and roses, which represent a garden city.

The gown represented a blend of traditional Chinese, Indian and Malay styles to reflect that Singapore is a multi-racial and multi-cultural society.

The jewellery that Tan wore was made of diamonds which symbolise prosperity.

What do you think of the gown she wore? Do you like the "national costume"?
