Singapore coach Radojko Avramovic publicly confirmed of his departure from the post after the competition.

"I won't change my mind about leaving but today I'll only talk about the match," said the 63-year-old Serbian.

Avramovic's contract ends at the end of the year. But it was the first time that he had personally confirmed of his departure, with the news only having been reported through close sources and the Football Association of Singapore refusing to comment until the end of the Championship.

Taking over the Singapore post in 2004, he won two consecutive AFF Championships and experienced a semi-final upset and a shock group stage exit in the next two editions. Despite the poor form of the Singapore national team in recent years, the Serbian still ranks as Singapore's most successful coach ever, having also overseen the nation's progress to the group stages of the AFC Zone World Cup Qualifiers, a first for the Lions.

"I want to win the trophy and I'm confident that my team will give it all," he added at the press conference on Friday afternoon.
