Samsung's Galaxy Note II has sold five million units in exactly two months, the mobile phone giant revealed today.

The 5.5-inch hybrid comes with a stylus, 1.6 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (expandable to 128GB with memory cards).

Although Apple and Samsung provide slightly different sales statistics, it is believed that Samsung's Galaxy S III outsold the iPhone in the third quarter of this year.

The large screen of the Samsung phone is particularly desirable to Asian markets, reports tech site The Next Web.
