Jamie Oliver's Singapore restaurant coming in third quarter of 2013

The much anticipated arrival of The Naked Chef's Singapore outpost is set to make history as award-winning, market-savvy chef-restaurateur, cookbook author and all-round celebrity toque Jamie Oliver announces his first restaurant in Asia.

Launched in partnership with Hotel Properties Limited (HPL), Jamie's Italian Singapore is slated to open in the third quarter of 2013 at VivoCity.

The family-friendly restaurant will feature pasta made on-site daily to complement an almost predictable set-up featuring the antipasti station, an open kitchen and an al fresco dining area.

That said, in keeping with Oliver's other restaurants, the design of the Singapore outlet is expected to be unique to its location, with a few quirky twists to boot.

It's also said that Jamie's Italian Singapore will utilise many of the region's finest ingredients with work to identify the best producers already underway.

"I've wanted to open in Singapore for many years now and we're thrilled to be working with HPL who are fantastic partners," said Oliver. "I can't tell you how excited I am to be opening a restaurant in Singapore. I think VivoCity is a fantastic location and I'm delighted."
