A Republic of Singapore Air Force serviceman based in the American north-west state of Idaho died last week.

He is believed to have collapsed during a football game while he was off duty.

Mr David Chan Kok Leong, 31, a regular, was an engineer servicing Singapore's F-15SG warplanes at the Mountain Home Air Force Base.

The training detachment, under the United States Air Force's 428th Fighter Squadron, is located about 94km from Idaho's capital, Boise.
