Police arrested a 47-year-old man for the suspected theft of aluminum window panes and an aluminum gate in the vicinity of Henderson Road on Sept 27.
They did so with the help of an alert resident, who called the police at 12.30am to report that a man was behaving suspiciously along the corridor of a unit in the area.
Within minutes, officers from Clementi Police Division arrived at the scene and managed to detain the suspect.
The suspect was placed under arrest following an interview.
He was found to be in possession of a pair of pliers believed to have been used to commit theft of several aluminum window panes and an aluminum gate. The suspect will be charged in court on Sept 28 for the offence of theft.
If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to three years and a fine.
