Police had blocked off the area around Chinese Swimming Club as a precaution, diverting human traffic and vehicles during the nearly three-hour bomb disposal operation.

A war relic had been found and removed from the site.

Buses and passers-by were re-routed and turned away, according to our onsite reporter.

The traffic diversion started before 10pm and shortly after midnight, the roads were opened up for traffic after the bomb was safely removed by SAF bomb disposal experts.
