Footage from security cameras captures a senior citizen shooting two men who were attempting to rob an internet cafe in Florida.

Mr Samuel Williams, 71, is seen chasing and shooting two teenagers who attempted to rob customers at the Palms Internet Cafe in Ocala, Florida on Friday.

The footage shows one teenager was armed with a gun and the other a bat when the burst into the cafe, but Mr Williams surprised both of them when he pulled out a gun of his own and opened fire on them, reported the Daily Telegraph.

The pensioner, licensed by the state of Florida to carry a concealed weapon, chased the two assailants and kept firing at them as they fled.

"This guy kept popping," said one witness. "He didn't stop, he just kept popping, you know? So, I think he shot both of them."

"After he started firing, they took off," said Judge Cochran of the Marion County Sheriff's Office. "They fell on top of each other trying to get out of the cafe."

Nineteen-year-old suspects Duwayne Henderson and Davis Dawkins were wounded by the gunfire and taken to the hospital. Both were arrested and later released on bail.
