Low-cost carrier Scoot will launch its fifth route to Taipei in mid-September, the airline said in a press release on Monday.
Flights will commence from Sept 18 instead of the original launch date of October.
The outbound service departs Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 2 at 1.05am and arrives at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport at 5.40am. The return flight will depart at 3.40pm on the same day and arrive back in Singapore at 8.10pm.
From Oct 29, the airline hopes to operate daily flights to Taipei, subject to regulatory approval.
Scoot also revealed that it intends to make Tokyo its sixth destination, according to the press release.
One-way Fly fares from Singapore to Taipei start from $88. The 48-hour Crazy Sale starts at 9am (Singapore time) on July 9, 2012, and ends at 9am on July 11, 2012.
