A man believed to be involved in cheating at least 10 victims of more than $2,500, was charged on Thursday with cheating a woman of $240.
Hare Chandra Bhattacharjee, 24, is said to have posted an advertisement online for the sale of Universal Studios tickets at $60 each and deceived Ms Juraida Naim into transferring $240 to his DBS bank account on May 6.
He was remanded for a week at Clementi police division for further investigation.
If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to 10 years and a fine.
