For the whole month of August, admission to the permanent galleries and selected exhibitions at the National Heritage Board's (NHB) museums and institutions will be free for Singaporeans and PRs.

NHB said this free admission initiative will become a yearly thing as part of National Day celebrations.

CEO of NHB, Mr Michael Koh said: "As Singaporeans, National Day presents the perfect time to reflect on our shared history and heritage, and our unique identity that binds us together as Singaporeans. Hence, we invite our fellow citizens to join in the celebration of the Singapore story especially during this special occasion."

On two Open House Days on National Day and Hari Raya Puasa, all visitors will enjoy free admission to all exhibitions and galleries.
