Another Indonesian maid falls to her death

An Indonesian maid fell to her death from a 14th floor flat on Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at about 7am at Block 63 Marine Drive. Police found Ami, who goes by one name, at the foot of the block. The 32-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. A bra was found near where she fell.

According to Indonesian embassy counsellor Mr Sukmo Yuwono, the West Javanese had just arrived in Singapore earlier this month and started working at her employer's home on Jul 9.

'We would like the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the police to investigate and find out what happened,' said Mr Sukmo.
