A copy of SingTel's CEO Consumer Singapore, Mr Yuen Kuan Moon's letter sent to BPL customers who watched the finals on 13 May 2012.

On Sunday 13 May 2012, during the exciting final matches of this BPL season, many of our mio TV customers experienced viewing difficulties.

We are deeply sorry for the poor viewing experience. As sports fans ourselves, we fully understand your excitement and the anticipation for these matches. We regret letting you down on this important occasion. We are especially disappointed with this disruption since we have been actively focused on improving our system to provide the best quality of service to you.

We take this issue seriously and are taking significant steps so that a similar situation does not arise again. It is of utmost priority that our service lives up to the high standards you expect and deserve. We cannot recreate the excitement of last Sunday's matches for you, and we again apologise for your disappointment. We will be crediting a sum of $34.90, which is equivalent to a month's subscription of our current Sports Pack, into your bill for the month of June.

We would like to take this opportunity to share with you that in addition to the BPL, our Sports Pack customers will be able to enjoy top-notch La Liga football matches live and exclusive next season – at no additional cost. Furthermore, our unprecedented screening of the London 2012 Olympic Games over 13 channels from 27 July to 12 August will be complimentary to all mio TV customers.

We remain committed to providing the highest quality service to you and promise to work even harder to regain your trust and confidence in us. Thank you for your support and patience.

Sincerely,
Yuen Kuan Moon
Chief Executive Officer
Consumer Singapore
