The Manpower Ministry is conducting its annual comprehensive labour force survey to collect data on employment, unemployment and other economic characteristics of the population.
The two-month long survey (May 23 to July 31) will cover a sample of 33,000 households.
MOM said the data collected will be used in the planning and formulation of manpower-related policies and programmes.
The ministry said it will notify households selected for the survey by post.
Households with internet access are encouraged to participate in the survey via the Manpower Survey Online System.
Households can also participate in the survey via telephone interviews.
MOM said its interviewers will visit the households if individuals cannot be reached by phone.
Its interviewers will display an MOM identification card, and households can verify their identity by calling the MOM contact centre at 6438 5122.
