SMRT train broke down, another train had to push it

ANOTHER ONE?
BRAVO!
An eastbound train at Paya Lebar MRT Station experienced a fault at 3.15pm on Sunday afternoon and was unable to depart from the station.

As a result, passengers were asked to alight at the station, transport company SMRT said in a statement on Sunday.

A second train behind the stalled train was called to push out the train and some passengers in the second train may have experienced some jerking during the train coupling process, SMRT said.

Passengers in the second train were asked to alight at Paya Lebar Station at 3.49pm. Eastbound train service from Eunos to Paya Lebar resumed at around 4pm. Sunday's incident affected about 500 passengers, SMRT added.
