It will use the footage to assist in investigations. This is part of the police's plan to install a total of 10,000 in entry and exit points by 2016.
These plans, as part of a new policing system that will leverage on technology, were announced last March in Parliament.The first seven locations include Bishan, Tampines and Woodlands. Feedback on the cameras will be collected, before the next phase starts in the last quarter of this year.
