Kelantan failed to fully capitalise on Malaysia Super League leaders LIONSXII's 1-0 loss to PKNS FC on Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 draw by T-Team.

Defending champions Kelantan headed into Saturday's match six points behind the Singapore outfit but with three games in hand, and would have been confident of their prospects of getting a result against T-Team, who had lost their last two matches.

And that certainly looked to be the case when the Red Warriors took the lead three minutes before the break when Norfarhan Mohamad went on a jinking run down the middle, before sliding the ball out left to Nurul Azwan Roya, who rifled his shot into the back of the net.

However, T-Team grabbed a share of the spoils 16 minutes from time when Brazilian midfielder Marco Tulio played a delightful ball into the path of Khairul Izwan, who made no mistake from six yards out.

The result means Kelantan have cut the LIONSXII's lead at the top of the table to five points after V. Sundramoorthy's men suffered a shock loss at the hands of PKNS.

Guadeloupe international Dawood Nicoise scored the only goal of the game in the 80th minute when his lofted freekick from the right sailed straight in after an error of judgement from LIONSXII custodian Hyrulnizam Juma'at.

Terengganu recovered from their midweek 2-0 defeat to Tampines Rovers in the AFC Cup to beat Negri Sembilan 1-0 thanks to an own-goal from S. Kunanlan, and are now just four points behind Kelantan in third.

Elsewhere, Perak recovered from the shock of going behind to Sabah in the first minute through Zainizam Marjan's opener to record a 3-1 victory, courtesy of strikes from Akmal Rizal, Lazar Popovic and an own-goal from Mafry Balang.

Saturday's final game saw Bosko Balaban net eight minutes from time to steal a point for Selangor in their 1-1 draw with Johor FC, who had taken the lead in the 19th minute through Riduwan M'aon.

On Friday, Sarawak recorded a 2-0 away win over Kedah thanks to second-half strikes from Shahrol Saperi and Ashri Chuchu, while Kuala Lumpur's woes continued as they fell to a 4-0 loss at the hands of derby rivals Felda United.
