A resident physician at Changi General Hospital (CGH) was suspended last week following allegations of molestation. The specialist, who works in the hospital's Anaesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care department, had allegedly touched the buttocks of a nurse in an operating theatre earlier this month.
The nurse then reported the doctor, in his 30s, to a senior nurse, who brought the matter to the nursing director, sources told The Sunday Times.
'This is a very serious matter. The hospital expects the highest level of conduct from our staff at all times.'
A CGH spokesman, commenting on the case
The doctor has been suspended since last Monday but no police report has been made so far.
