Singapore Children's Society aims to get 1,000 corporate donors

The Singapore Children's Society aims to get 1,000 corporate donors to help serve needy children and their families through its "1000 Enterprises for Children-in-Need" programme.

Currently, it has 498 companies on board.

It plans to appoint 30 Corporate Ambassadors to reach out to the business community and encourage stronger corporate participation.

The society said on Tuesday that the project has steadily gained support from multi-national corporations, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.

It has raised S$2.87 million in cumulative donations over the last three years and it hopes to raise S$2 million from the project this year.

The Children's Society, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, reaches out to more than 67,500 children, youth and families annually through 59 programmes and services.
