A stunning comeback by SAFFC saw them salvage a 3-3 draw against Home United in the Great Eastern-YEO's S.League on Sunday evening.

In front of 1,506 fans at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium, the Protectors had looked headed for a comfortable win after taking a two-goal lead courtesy of Qiu Li and Shotaro Ihata.

SAFFC substitute Fazrul Nawaz pulled one back for the home side, but Home went straight down the other end and restored their advantage after Qiu swept home from close range.

The Warriors did not give up however, and pulled another one back through Tatsuro Inui's brilliant freekick, before Fazrul stole a point five minutes from time when he raced clear and fired past Lionel Lewis in the Home goal.

At the Toa Payoh Stadium, high-flying Balestier Khalsa were held to a 1-1 draw by Gombak United.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Park Kang-jin rifled home a left-footed effort into the bottom corner.

But just when they looked set to record their second win of the season, Mustaqim Manzur popped up with an equaliser, racing onto Chris Anderson's slide-rule pass and poking the ball past Joey Sim.

On Saturday, goals from Jordan Webb and Ignatius Ang helped Hougang United to a 2-0 win over Geylang United, a result which sees them move up to second in the league.

Friday's only game saw Harimau Muda record an impressive 3-0 win over Tanjong Pagar United, while on Thursday, early-season pacesetters Albirex Niigata saw off Woodlands Wellington thanks to substitute Yasuhiro Yamakoshi's injury-time strike.
