New iPad stocks in Singapore running low after 1st day sales

The high speed 4G connectivity of the new iPad may not work here, but it has not stopped consumers from snapping up units of the higher end model.

Apple reseller EpiCentre sold out its stock of 4G iPad devices across all its outlets island wide by 2pm Friday, and are expecting to clear out the Wi-Fi version by the end of the day.

And they will have nothing to sell over the weekend, as restocks are only coming in on Monday, says Ms Carolina Ng, EpiCentre's head of corporate and marketing communications.

The new iPad, which comes with a faster processor and sharper screen, is available in a Wi-Fi only model, and a Wi-Fi + 4G model. Each is available in capacities of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB. Prices start from $658.
