New iPad NOT delayed in stores, Apple clarifies

Apple fans can still get their hands on the new iPad, the third generation of its category, on Friday, 16 March.

Earlier news agency reports created a confusion among Apple fans on Monday regarding its release date.

Reports had it that Apple would postpone shipment of new iPads to market by three days, from March 16 to March 19.

Apple has clarified that the new iPad Wi-Fi models will be available on Friday in 11 territories namely Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and the US Virgin Islands.
