Malaysia to tighten visa applications for visitors from China

Malaysia will tighten visa applications for visitors from China to ensure they are not involved in any criminal activities, especially prostitution.

'Due to cheap air fares, almost anyone including criminals such as drug mules, human traffickers and even terrorists can travel freely from one country to another,' said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

He added that other than using the biometric system, the Government was looking at other ways to differentiate criminals from real tourists.
