How to donate to the family of the cleaner who died in the Budget Terminal incident

In a Facebook posting, Changi Airport said it had received several queries from the public on how they can help the family of the late Mr Chandra Mogan, who died after he was rammed by a taxi that was hijacked by a Chinese national after an argument with the cab's driver.

This is how you can do so:
  1. Make your cheques to "Pusparani A/P Mohan" (You may wish to indicate your name at the back of the cheque)
  2. Mail them to The Mogan Family c/o Changi Airport Group, Corporate Communications, PO Box 168, Singapore Changi Airport, Singapore 918146
  3. Cheques should reach CAG no later than Friday, 30 March 2012
Mr Mogan leaves behind his mother, his wife and four children (aged 9, 7, and 5 years and 2.5 months).

The suspect, a 30-year-old technician, was charged Sunday with voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery at Changi General Hospital where he is warded.

He was going to Changi Airport aboard a cab driven by taxi driver Yeow Chuwee Lam. However, before they could reach the airport, he started getting violent and accused the cabby of hiding his belongings. He forced Mr Yeow out of the cab then drove recklessly towards the Budget Terminal.

He then crashed into cleaning supervisor Chandra Mogan who is believed to have been operating a cleaning machine at that time. The Malaysian was pronounced dead at 7.13am on Saturday after succumbing to his head injuries.
