Singapore No 1 Mardan Mamat fired a 4-under 68 on Saturday to open up a three-shot lead at the PGM-CCM-Impian Masters going into Sunday's final round.
Mardan, playing on an invite in the RM180,000 (S$75,000) Asian Development Tour (ADT) event, poured in six birdies against one double bogey to open up a lead over Malaysia's R. Nachimuthu and Dodge Kemmer of the United States.
Japan's Hirotaro Naito carded a 67 to lie in fourth place on 205 at the Impian Golf and Country Club in the season-opening event of the ADT.
Despite playing in his sixth successive event, Mardan, who won his third Asian Tour title at the ICTSI Philippine Open last month, has shown no signs of fatigue so far.
"I still feel good. I want to keep on playing because I'm playing so well. You want to keep the momentum going and the results have been showing," said the Singaporean, who qualified for his third British Open in Thailand last week.
