Wednesday's Malaysia Super League Results

Terengganu 1-1 PKNS FC
Selangor 1-1 LIONSXII
Kuala Lumpur 0-1 Kedah
Negri Sembilan 2-1 T-Team
Perak 2-1 Sarawak
Johor FC 1-1 Felda United

Perak climbed to the top of the Malaysia Super League on Wednesday after recording a hard-fought 2-1 away win over Sarawak.

Slovak midfielder Michal Kubala put the visitors ahead after just seven minutes, and the visitors duly doubled their lead in the 26th minute through Fahrul Razi.

Sarawak hit back eight minutes later when Vedran Muratovich converted from the spot, but with neither side managing to find the back of the net again, Perak held on for a win which seems them rise to the top of the table.

Kelantan are a point behind in second after struggling to break down a stubborn Sabah outfit in a 0-0 draw at the Likas Stadium, while Terengganu are third following a 1-1 draw against PKNS FC.

After a slow start, Terengganu took the lead in the 36th minute through Liberian hitman Francis Forkey Doe, but Rudie Ramli salvaged a share of the spoils for the visitors when he nodded home just after the break.

Plenty of eyes were tuned to the Bukit Jalil Stadium as the LIONSXII travelled to play Selangor, but the match that followed failed to live up to expectations as both sides took a cautious approach in a 1-1 draw.

Against the run of play, the Singapore outfit took the lead two minutes before the break when captain Shahril Ishak picked up the ball near the penalty spot and danced past a challenge, before rifling a left-footed shot into the back of the net.

However, the hosts grabbed the equaliser on the stroke of halftime when K. Gurusamy latched onto a loose ball on the edge of the area and unleashed a venomous shot that had LIONSXII custodian Izwan Mahbud beaten all ends up.

Struggling Kedah picked up three much-needed points by recording a 1-0 win at bottom club Kuala Lumpur courtesy of a Mohd Khyril Muhymeen strike, while Negri Sembilan battled to a 2-1 victory over T-Team.

Finally, Johor FC and Felda United played out a 1-1 draw at the Pasir Gudang Corporation Stadium.

The hosts looked headed for a victory when Mohd Syazwan Zainon gave them the lead eight minutes from time, only for Mohd Azrul Ahmad to grab an equaliser three minutes later.
