He left the door open while using the toilet.For that, the 56-year-old coffee shop customer ended up having a beer bottle smashed onto his head.
His 51-year-old wife, who tried to put a stop to the brawl, was not spared. She too was attacked by the same man who allegedly hit her husband.
The police received a call about a fight at the coffee shop at Block 136, Potong Pasir Avenue 3 at 9.20am. But the man, along with two other alleged assailants who joined in, had fled the scene by the time the cops arrived.
A police spokesman said the case has been classified as voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon. Investigations are continuing.
