The LIONSXII recorded their first win of the 2012 Malaysian Super League thanks to a 2-1 win over Kuala Lumpur at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Tuesday.
V Sundramoorthy's men seemed to be coasting to a win thanks to an own-goal from Alman Syazwan and a Shahdan Sulaiman strike, but defender Safuwan Bahruddin conceded a penalty and got sent off in the bargain to set up a nervy last 23 minutes.
Elsewhere, Kelantan moved level with T-Team at the top of the Malaysia Super League after a 2-1 win over Johor FC on Tuesday.
T-Team were unable to maintain their winning start to the season, although they remain unbeaten after a 0-0 draw against Sabah, while their local rivals Terengganu moved up to third after a 1-0 win over Sarawak, courtesy of Francis Forkey's 36th-minute effort.
