Ministry of Foreign Affairs Thai floods update

The Singapore Embassy in Bangkok said floods have not affected downtown Hat Yai where some Singaporeans are staying.

It has been in close contact with Singaporeans who have e-registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

An MFA spokesman said this in response to media queries on Monday.

MFA has advised Singaporeans travelling to Hat Yai to take all necessary precautions, including avoiding the flood-affected areas.

The latest flood reports can be found at the Thai Meteorological Department's website.

Singaporeans planning to travel to Thailand should eRegister at http://eregister.mfa.gov.sg/ so they can be contacted should the need arise.
