Man tried to flee from gunmen, killed in hit and run

36-year-old Wong Ping Yee from Kluang, Johor, was believed to have been ambushed by gunmen at the carpark area of a water theme park near Kuchai Lama yesterday, sometime after 9pm.

Wong, believed to be involved in moneylending activity, was shot at six times while he was in his car. He was injured on his left shoulder but managed to escape and tried to flee on foot to the highway nearby to seek help became the victim of a hit-and-run accident instead.
