COE prices go down across the board for January 2012

COE prices went down in all categories in the first bidding exercise for year 2012, with the Category E Open section seeing the greatest fall.

Category A, for cars of engine capacities below 1600cc and for taxis, went down by $3,112, to end the day at $46,889.

Category B, for cars of engine capacities above 1600cc, went down by $4,202 from the last exercise in December to end at $65,801.

Category E COEs, which is for the Open Category, saw premiums decrease by $5,300, to end the bidding tender at $65,700.
