Video: U.S. Marine In Afghanistan, Sings Christmas Song For His Wife

The holiday season can be a particularly difficult time for U.S. troops and their families.

Master Sgt. Robert Allen, a member of Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 deployed in Afghanistan, described the hardship of being separated from his wife in Pawnee, Oklahoma in a touching song.

"It's Christmas time, and I'm gone again. I left you alone again. And I don't have you in my arms to hold, 'cause I'm 7,000 miles away from home," Allen sings.

"It's a tough, hard life, being a military wife, spreading cheer along the way, wearing a smile every day, while your husband's away."
