HE WAS a seasoned runner who used to train every night when he served his National Service (NS) as a reconnaisance commander.

But at about 8.30am yesterday, Malcom Sng, 22, collapsed at the finish line of the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore at the Padang.
The organisers said in a media statement that he was immediately attended to and evacuated to the Singapore General Hospital, where he died an hour later.
Mr Sng's NS buddies said they were "shocked" that he had died after completing the half-marathon because he was very fit.
