SMRT suspends bus driver after woman's fall

SMRT has suspended a bus driver after a passenger he was ferrying fell and hit her head, leaving her in a coma.

On Tuesday, its staff visited Madam Ding Weibo, 54.

Her husband, Mr You Bu Jia, 58, said they visited his wife in Singapore General Hospital's intensive care unit and apologised to the family.

'I was quite disappointed that they didn't contact me earlier after something so serious had happened on their bus. They said they couldn't find my number, but how can that be?' he said.
