ON A MUDDY and slippery pitch which prevented any form of flair and flamboyance, it was down to energy and guts.
The LionsXII showed enough of both to earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw in front 150 fans at the Petaling Jaya Stadium last night.
After losing 3-2 to Johor FA last Saturday, Lions coach V Sundramoorthy was looking only for improvement. He wasn't complaining at the final whistle.
