Qatari club Al-Sadd claimed third place in the FIFA Club World Cup with a 3-5 penalty shoot-out victory over Kashiwa Reysol of Japan in Yokohama.
Al-Sadd goalkeeper Mohamed Saqr became the hero with a penalty save from Ryohei Hayashi, after it had been the keeper's error which allowed Adriano to set Barcelona on the way to a 4-0 win in the semi-final.
Mohamed had also been key in keeping J.League champions Kashiwa at bay throughout the 90 minutes as Asian Champions League winners Al-Sadd ended their year on a high.
