The vehicle lost control next to Siglap Community Centre on Bedok South Avenue 3 at around 3pm on Tuesday.

The crash started a fire, which spread to the bus stop and also burnt the shelter. The driver, who was in his 50s, dashed out of the car and appeared to be on fire.

He was rushed to Changi General Hospital by a passing private ambulance and is being treated for first-degree burns on the right side of his body.
