279 SAF servicemen awarded medal for counter-piracy effort

For their contribution to international counter-piracy efforts in the Gulf of Aden, 279 Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) servicemen were awarded the Overseas Service Medal (OSM) on Wednesday morning.

The servicemen were members of the returning SAF task group, which was deployed to the Gulf of Aden in August. The group included the RSS Endeavour, a Landing Ship Tank with two Super Pumas on board.
