Slobodan Who? Kicked Out, Chitrakar takes control of Young Lions

The voice of Football Association of Singapore (FAS) technical director Slobodan Pavkovic used to be the most noticeable sound at the Jalan Besar Stadium when the Courts Young Lions were training.

Standing in the middle of the pitch, the Serb was often seen screaming instructions, correcting mistakes and urging his players on, with Robin Chitrakar looking on.

But on Thursday, the scene at the training ground was different.

Chitrakar, who was officially appointed head coach of the team at the start of the S-League season, was taking charge of matters, with Pavkovic watching on, roles reversed.

Today understands that Chitrakar has taken full charge of the team for their last match of the season, against Etoile FC on Monday.

The former Lion is in line to carry on in the same role when the 2012 season begins in February.
