S'poreans booted out of Italian football school

Twenty-four players from the Sembawang Soccer Academy, along with their coach, Tohari Paijan, have been thrown out of a soccer school in Italy and their hotel over a money dispute.

The young players were told by Genova International Soccer School director Morris Pagniello that they had to leave the hotel and find their own alternative accommodation.

Mr Pagniello said he couldn't afford to pay for the boys any more and would be going to the embassy in Rome to see what they can do for the boys until they return to Singapore on Aug 19.
